For American viewers, even preseason football is football.

Daily Comp 3way 2014 SUN Aug 17

FOX:  The preseason NFL FOOTBALL game between Indianapolis and the NY Giants scored 2.0, easily giving FOX the night, although the game wasn’t quite the highest rated show of the evening.

CBS:  BIG BROTHER was up 0.1 from last week (when it aired out of its regular timeslot), and at 2.1 it was the night’s highest-rated show.  60 MINUTES, also back in its regular timeslot, held at 0.9. UNFORGETTABLE (0.8) and RECKLESS (0.5) were preempted last week, but were in keeping with their numbers 2 weeks ago, with Reckless down 0.1.

ABC:  AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS (1.0) and RISING STAR (0.8) were up 0.1 from last week, while WIPEOUT (0.8) fell by the same amount.

NBC:  Reruns of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR (0.7) and AMERICA’S GOT TALENT (0.8).

CW premieres the new cycle of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL tonight.  On Cable, ABCFamily airs finales of  SWITCHED AT BIRTH and THE FOSTERS, while TNT has the midseason premiere of DALLAS.
