THE SKED’S SUNDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8/18/13

The really interesting numbers last night are likely to be on cable, with the roaring Breaking Bad airing against the season finale of True Blood.

Daily Comparison 2013 Sun Aug 18 three way

FOX:  NFL PRESEASON FOOTBALL (Indianapolis at NY Giants) scored a preliminary 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 in the fast nationals, which we have adjusted up to an estimated 2.1 rating (anticipating the time zone adjustment for this live telecast in the official nationals).  This is still way off the pace for the similar game last year on NBC (a 3.2 rating for the preseason game between Indianapolis and Pittsburgh).

NBC:  The 2-hour season finale of CROSSING LINES drew its own line under the awfulness of the show’s ratings, hitting a series low 0.4–behind both of the reruns it faced on CBS and ABC, and even below the 0.5 for the rerun of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT that preceded it.

ABC:  The season finale of WHODUNNIT was far healthier, up 0.3 from last week to 1.4.  Its SECRET MILLIONAIRE lead-in was up a tick to 1.2.

CBS:  BIG BROTHER took a big hit, down 0.4 from last week to 2.0.  UNFORGETTABLE was steady, albeit at 1.1.

The usual summer Monday night on the networks tonight, with 3 new hours on NBC and an hour each on CBS and ABC.  On cable, TNT airs the season finale of MAJOR CRIMES.
