The regular season NFL roared back to life.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC.  A run of THE LEGO MOVIE at 0.4 was followed by REEF BREAK, up 0.1 to 0.3.

FOX:  2 hours of SPIN THE WHEEL were at 0.5, steady with the last new episode on August 15.

CW:  A steady night with THE OUTPOST at 0.1, and TWO SENTENCE HORROR STORIES at 0.1/0.1.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top Thursday cable programs. Broadcast finals for Thursday will be posted Monday morning, the final delay caused by Labor Day.
