Fast Demo 2018 Jul 03.TUE

ABC:  On the night before Independence Day 2018, the only new piece of programming on broadcast TV was an episode of THE LAST DEFENSE, steady at 0.4.  It was preceded by sitcom reruns at 0.3-0.5.

CW:  The rerun of Wimbledon-themed special STROKE OF GENIUS is notable only because in the 9PM hour, it achieved something rare:  a (rounded) 0.0 rating, with a zero share in all major demos.  The average over the full 2-hour telecast was all the way up to 0.1.

CBS:  Reruns at 0.5 across the board.

NBC:  Reruns at 1.0/0.8 easily won the night.

FOX:  Reruns at 0.4/0.4.

There will actually be more original programming on July 4th itself, as NBC’s traditional MACY’S FIREWORKS special will have competition from CBS’s BIG BROTHER and a new CODE BLACK.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
