UPDATED: THE SKED CABLE/NETWORK TUESDAY SCORECARD – 6/17/14

NETWORK UPDATE:  THE NIGHT SHIFT fell even lower in final numbers, down 0.1 to a 1.3 that represented just half of its AMERICA’S GOT TALENT lead-in.  The NCIS LA nudged up 0.1, while the FAMILY GUY rerun nudged down.

TUESDAY CABLE:  As detailed in today’s WORLD CUP SKEDBALL, the highest rated shows of the day were again the 2:30PM/5:30PM matches (Brazil/Mexico and Russia/South Korea) at 1.5/1.4.  The season premiere of RIZZOLI & ISLES (TNT) dived from last June’s season premiere, down 0.4 to 1.0 (the older-skewing Total Viewers measurement was steadier, down 600K to 5.8M).  PERCEPTION held better, down 0.1 from last season’s premiere to 0.7.  PRETTY LITTLE LIARS (ABCFamily) fell 0.2 from last week’s season premiere to 0.9, while CHASING LIFE held at last week’s 0.5.  (In ABCFamily’s target demos, the two were at 2.2/1.0 in Females 18-34, and 2.7/1.2 in Females 12-17.)  The season finale of AWKWARD (MTV) was at 0.5 (1.5 in Females 12-17 and 1.2 with Females 18-34).  The season finale of FARGO (FX) was a steady 0.6.  On USA, ROYAL PAINS dropped 0.1 from last week’s season premiere to 0.5, and the season finale half-hours of PLAYING HOUSE were at 0.4/0.3, the latter down 0.1 from last week.  THE DEADLIEST CATCH (Discovery) dropped 0.1 to 1.0, while THE HAVES AND HAVE NOTS (OWN) rebounded by 0.2 to 0.9.  THE LITTLE COUPLE (TLC) held at 0.8.

Last night, it was America’s Got Talent and then everything else.

NBC:  Even though AMERICA’S GOT TALENT only held even with last week’s 2.6, and that had faced the NBA Finals, it was still head and shoulders above anything else in primetime last night.  THE NIGHT SHIFT slipped 0.1 to 1.4.

ABC:  EXTREME WEIGHT LOSS shed a few pounds of its own, down 0.4 from its last episode to 0.8.  It was followed by a rerun CELEBRITY WIFE SWAP at 0.7.

CW:  FAMOUS IN 12 couldn’t spare the 0.1 it lost, pulling it down to 0.2.  That was below the 0.3 for the rerun SUPERNATURAL that followed it.

CBS:  Reruns, led by the 0.9s for both NCIS and NCIS: LA.

FOX:  Having pulled its failing reality shows from the schedule, FOX aired an all-rerun line-up, highlighted by 0.8 for FAMILY GUY.

FOX has a new SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE tonight, and ABC airs a new MOTIVE.  That’s it for fresh programming.
