Tuesday ratings. America’s Got Talent matched last year’s same night rating, a rare achievement for any returning show in today’s environment. Last night’s AGT had a significant advantage (two-hour length) over last year’s episode (one-hour duration), but a 2.3 rating from 9-11 pm is very solid in any case. In fact, AGT last night peaked at a very good 2.5 preliminary adult 18-49 rating in the 10:30 pm half hour. Add in Big Brother airing last night (unlike last year’s comparable Tuesday) and we have a collective broadcast network higher than the same night last year. Yes, it’s only a 2% increase but any yearly uptick is newsworthy.
