THE SKED WEDNESDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 5/30/12

Summer network TV continues to fall behind cable.

FOX:  It’s all but a foregone conclusion that everything on network TV last night was outrated by the Boston/Miami NBA Playoffs and History’s conclusion of Hatfields & McCoys.  The only show on the networks to score over a 1.5 rating in 18-49s was SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, giving FOX a 2.6 total for the night that doubled the closest competition.

CBS:  The debut of DOGS IN THE CITY must have been pitched so younger humans couldn’t hear it, as the show only managed a 1.3 with 18-49s, but almost tied So You Think in total audience.  Even in that measurement, though, Dogs didn’t fare as well as the CSI repeat at 10PM, which won its hour with both demos, including a 1.5 in 18-49s.

NBC:  A Los Angeles/New Jersey match-up in the STANLEY CUP FINALS excited no one, as preliminary numbers were at 1.0.

ABC:  Six sitcom reruns were highlighted by 1.5 for the MODERN FAMILY repeat at 9PM.

CW:  The season finale of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL reached a 0.6, not bad for this network at this time of year.

Tonight, more than a week after the end of the broadcast television season, FOX airs the 2-hour season finale of TOUCH, not exactly giving it a big platform for its move to Fridays in the fall.  ABC has new installments of DUETS and ROOKIE BLUE, while CBS and NBC are all repeats.
