LIFE SENTENCE had a very mild start.

CW:  After RIVERDALE’s steady 0.4 return from its Olympics break, LIFE SENTENCE premiered at 0.3, but it was already at 0.2 by its 2nd half-hour.

ABC:  All the sitcoms were up 0.1:  THE GOLDBERGS to 1.4, SPEECHLESS to 1.2, MODERN FAMILY  to 1.4, and AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE to 1.1.  DESIGNATED SURVIVOR remained at 0.6.

CBS:  SURVIVOR held last week’s 1.7, and SEAL TEAM, back in its 9PM slot, was up 0.1 to 0.9.  CRIMINAL MINDS aired for the first time since January 31 and was down 0.1 to 0.9.

NBC:  The line-up was up 0.1:  THE BLACKLIST to 1.0, SVU to 1.2, and CHICAGO PD to 1.3.

FOX:  THE X-FILES (0.9) and 9-1-1 (1.6) were both up 0.1.

Tonight’s new arrival is NBC’s sitcom CHAMPIONS.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
