It was cooking night on broadcast TV .
FOX: MASTERCHEF dominated everything around it with 2.0/2.5 over its two hours.
ABC: What have become the burn-offs of canceled FAMILY TOOLS and HOW TO LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS (FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE) continued with series lows for both (each down 0.1 from last week), respectively at 0.9 and 1.3. (The MIDDLE/MODERN FAMILY reruns around them were at 1.0/1.3.) THE LOOKOUT held steady, for what it’s worth, at 1.1, behind reruns on the other two networks.
CBS: AMERICAN BAKING COMPETITION held at 1.0, tied for third place in its hour. The CSI rerun at 10PM, though, won its hour with 1.3.
NBC: The highest number of the night was DATELINE‘s 1.1, but that was down 0.4 from last week. Reruns at 1.0/0.7 followed.
CW: Reruns at 0.4/0.3
Tonight’s ratings should be radically different thanks to the NBA FINALS (ABC breathed a sigh of relief when Miami beat Indiana in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals). Last year’s Miami/Oklahoma City Game 1 (which aired on a Tuesday) had a 5.6 rating. As it did last year, ABC will precede the basketball with a special half-hour of JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE. The other networks air their usual mixes of fresh and rerun programming (or in CBS’s case, all reruns). USA finally debuts its much-hyped GRACELAND tonight, following the final season premiere of BURN NOTICE.
