FRINGE ties for its network lead on the night! (Don’t read the fine print.)
FOX: The newly-renewed FRINGE went up an essentially meaningless 0.1 to 1.1. Since THE FINDER (facing original competition on every side) dipped 0.1, that put both shows at 1.1–but don’t make any bets on Finder joining Fringe on the 2012-13 schedule.
CBS: Although the network won the night, its shows didn’t return well from 2 weeks of reruns. CSI NY and BLUE BLOODS were both down 0.3, to twin 1.4s that could only get each of them to a tie in its respective hour. UNDERCOVER BOSS was down a slimmer 0.1 to 1.6, enough to win its timeslot.
NBC: GRIMM (facing a new CSI NY for the first time in 3 weeks) held even at 1.4, tying for the hour lead. A Rob Lowe (hi, Parks & Rec fans!) WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE was up 0.2 to 1.0, but DATELINE, facing a new Blue Bloods, was down 0.3 to 1.1.
ABC: SHARK TANK and PRIMETIME were both down 0.2, to 1.4 and 1.1. 20/20 was up by the same amount, tying Blue Bloods for the 10PM lead with 1.4.
CW: Division may not have been able to kill NIKITA, but it looks like the ratings will, as the show tied its series low 0.4. SUPERNATURAL was down slightly to 0.6.
Tonight FOX has NASCAR and ABC airs the hit theatrical THE BLIND SIDE, while NBC dares people to watch new episodes of ESCAPE ROUTES and THE FIRM, and CBS hands out some scripted repeats. Sunday is all new, featuring the season finale of THE GOOD WIFE on CBS, and the return of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES to ABC for the first of its final 3 episodes.
