Projected weekly network ratings in prime time (based on four days of official nationals and three days of fast nationals).  The week including the 4th of July is usually about as bad as it gets in any given year.  This year, two networks averaged well below a 1 rating across primetime for the week, while the other two were just above a 1 rating.  NBC finished on top with a 1.15 weekly rating, down only 5% from the same week last year.  Bring the only network to program the tough July 4th evening (with Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular) continues to pay off.  CBS was up 14% from the same week last year (mostly because of continued strength from Under the Dome, which was unaffected by the long holiday weekend).  FOX and ABC (each with nothing new working for the summer) continue to flounder with 24-31% declines from the same week last year.
