Fringe moves on to another universe.
FOX: After years of lousy ratings, it would have been unrealistic to expect FRINGE to suddenly grow an audience at the last minute, and it didn’t: the two-hour finale had a 1.0, which was up 0.2 from last week, but barely managed to beat one other network in one of its hours. Farewell…
ABC: A bad night. LAST MAN STANDING fell 0.2 to 1.3, MALIBU COUNTRY slipped 0.3 to 1.1, then after a 1.5 SHARK TANK rerun, 20/20 was down 0.3 to 1.2.
CBS: Not too bad a fall from last week’s season highs. UNDERCOVER BOSS lost a tick to 1.9, CSI NY was even at 1.6, and BLUE BLOODS lost 0.1 to 1.5. CBS won every hour of the night.
NBC: Following 0.9 for a pair of OFF THEIR ROCKERS reruns, DATELINE was down 0.2 to 1.2.
CW: The midseason return of NIKITA had the same 0.4 as the show managed in 2012, just barely ahead of the 0.3 for a BEAUTY AND THE BEAST rerun at 9PM.
Everything is reruns and old movies tonight, but Jennifer Lawrence and The Lumineers headline SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Sunday will be all about CBS and the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, with NBC and FOX airing reruns against that behemoth and only ABC doing battle. The most interesting number of the night will be for the post-game airing of HAWAII 5-0.
