SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 25 Thursday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 9.25.2014

NETWORK UPDATE:  Things only got better for ABC in final numbers, as GREY’S ANATOMY, SCANDAL and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER all climbed an extra 0.1.  THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted to 6.0, again significantly higher than last week’s game.

Ratings in key demos for the Top 25 original cable telecasts Thursday (plus a few other lower-rated but noteworthy programs):

With all the excitement on the networks, it was a quiet night on cable, with the NFL Network coverage of the Washington/Giants game at the top of the cable chart as well at 1.32. Perhaps because of the stronger NFL game, ESPN’s COLLEGE FOOTBALL coverage fell by more than 50% from last week to 0.65.  BLACK JESUS (Adult Swim) gained 0.11 from last week to 0.76.  With a 12:15AM start time, the same network’s TIM & ERIC’S BEDTIME STORIES was notable at 0.41.  PAWN STARS (History) saw gains of one-tenth or so in both of its half-hours, to 0.74/0.70.  PROJECT RUNWAY (Lifeimte) lost 0.11 to 0.63, and RIDICULOUSNESS (MTV) was down by the same margin to 0.43.  SNACK-OFF followed RIDICULOUSNESS on MTV at 0.22.  HAVEN (Syfy) continued its bummer of a final season at 0.19.  GARFUNKEL & OATES (IFC) lost last week’s gain and more, down by almost half to 0.04.
