SHOWBUZZDAILY FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 1.1.2021

WWE SMACKDOWN felt the lack of an NFL lead-in.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis follows the chart.

ABC:  After a SHARK TANK rerun at 0.4, 20/20 was at 0.4.

CBS:  Reruns at 0.2/0.2/0.3.

NBC:  Following a WEAKEST LINK rerun at 0.4, DATELINE was at 0.4.

FOX:  Although WWE SMACKDOWN won the night at 0.5, it fell 0.46 compared to last week’s final number due to its NFL lead-in on Christmas Day.

CW:  A simulcast of VH1’s RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE cycle premiere was at 0.1, followed by a rerun MASTERS OF ILLUSION at 0.1.

Tonight is a festival of reruns, but then the networks fully greet 2021 on Sunday, with premieres/previews of ABC’s THE ROOKIE and FOX’s CALL ME KAT, LAST MAN STANDING and THE GREAT NORTH.  In addition, CW airs the finale of THE OUTPOST, and BBCAmerica premieres THE WATCH.

Note: The fast affiliate-based ratings below measure what aired on network affiliates in 210 U.S. markets from 8-11 pm Eastern & Pacific or 7-10 pm Central & Mountain. The numbers are some combination of the network schedule and any pre-emptions (such as local news or weather coverage). Accurate program ratings will be available Monday afternoon with the broadcast finals.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back TUESDAY morning for detailed demographic ratings for top Friday cable ratings and broadcast finals, delayed by the New Year’s holiday.
