An atypical night of programming on CBS helped out the competition.
NBC: Everything on the line-up was up: DATELINE by 0.2 to 1.4, GRIMM by 0.3 to 1.6 and even DRACULA by 0.2 to 1.1.
ABC: A strong night here as well, with LAST MAN STANDING up 0.2 to 1.4, THE NEIGHBORS up 0.1 to 1.0, SHARK TANK up 0.1 to tie its season high 2.0 and 20/20 up 0.2 to 1.1.
CBS: An eclectic night yielded uneven results. The night started with a pair of Christmas specials that scored well, with 1.6 for FROSTY THE SNOWMAN and 1.4 for YES, VIRGINIA. The network then aired a NCIS LA rerun for 0.8, and followed it with the year’s GRAMMY NOMINATIONS LIVE concert/announcement special, which at 1.1 was 0.4 below last year’s telecast (on a Wednesday).
FOX: BONES rose 0.1 to 1.6, then the night’s pair of RAISING HOPE half-hours rated at 0.8/0.6, with the first episode up 0.2 from last week.
CW: THE CARRIE DIARIES and NIKITA were each up 0.1 to 0.4/0.3.
A pair of big college football games air on ABC and FOX in primetime tonight, between them determining if Florida State and Ohio State reach the BCS Championship game in January. CBS rushed a special 48 HOURS onto the air about Nelson Mandela, and follows it with an unusual late-night (on the east coast) football game. Tonight’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE features host Paul Rudd and musical guest One Direction.

THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 12/25/13
Reruns decked the halls on Christmas night. ABC: THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY led the way with1.3s, giving ABC the win. NBC: Nothing in the network’s mix of rerun holiday specials and a repeat of Monday’s HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT scored above 0.7. CBS: Ditto for a pair of procedurals…

THE SKED FRIDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 11/22/13
CW: The premiere of the final season of NIKITA may make CW wonder why it bothered, with a virtually invisible 0.2. That was even worse than the 0.3 for THE CARRIE DIARIES, even with last week. NBC: After more than a week of JFK specials, those interested had likely been…
