Lots of back-to-back episodes, although the previously reported full hour of LAST MAN STANDING on FOX has been corrected in the chart and text below.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis follows the chart.
FOX: The network returned to LAST MAN STANDING & THE COOL KIDS in the 8 pm hour, with this week’s 1.0/0.7 down from last week’s back to back LAST MAN STANDING episodes 1.1/1.0. At 9 pm PROVEN INNOCENT, fell 0.1 to an even worse 0.4, although it had a bit of an excuse in that the episode had been available online all week.
CBS: MACGYVER gained 0.1 to 0.8, and it was followed by 2 hours of HAWAII 5-0 at 0.8/0.8, steady with last week’s hour.
NBC: Back-to-back episodes of THE BLACKLIST were at 0.6/0.6, steady with last week’s hour. DATELINE dropped 0.1 to 0.5.
ABC: FRESH OFF THE BOAT lost 0.1 to 0.6, and SPEECHLESS held last week’s 0.5. 20/20 remained at 0.7.
CW: Reruns at 0.2/0.2.
NBA and NHL games occupy 2 networks in primetime tonight. Sunday brings the beleaguered OSCARS on ABC, with no competition on the broadcast networks, although HBO and Showtime will air their full line-ups (including the season finale of TRUE DETECTIVE). Notably, ABC is taking a leaf from the Super Bowl this year, with a “sneak preview” of the pilot for the new Wednesday night show WHISKEY CAVALIER airing after the awards.
