Friday nights continue to be a dead zone for network TV.
ABC: SHARK TANK dominated the night at 1.8, down 0.1 from last week. The season premiere of LAST MAN STANDING, though, was at 1.2, down 0.3 from last fall, and at 10PM, 20/20 was down 0.4 to 1.2.
CBS: THE AMAZING RACE and HAWAII 5-0 were each up 0.1 from last week, while BLUE BLOODS was steady, but that still left the 3 shows at 1.2/1.3/1.2. (The latter 2 shows were far stronger with the older-skewing total viewers metric.)
FOX: UTOPIA dropped 0.1 from last week to 0.6, tying the night’s GOTHAM rerun.
NBC: After 0.8/0.8 reruns of its new Thursday sitcoms, DATELINE fell 0.3 to 1.1.
CW: The new episode of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY lost 0.2 to 0.4, but AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL managed to find 0.1 for 0.4.
Tonight has the usual Saturday mix of college football and reruns, with Sarah Silverman as host of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE in late-night, featuring musical guests Maroon 5. On Sunday, the biggest arrival is Showtime’s 2-hour season premiere of HOMELAND, and there are also season finales for FX’s THE STRAIN and Lifetime’s WITCHES OF EAST END. On the broadcast networks, FOX has the series premiere of MULANEY and the season premiere of BOB’S BURGERS.
