ADJUSTED UPDATE: LAST MAN STANDING and SHARK TANK gained 0.1 each, but HANNIBAL fell 0.1 to a bloodless 0.8.
FRIDAY CABLE: Things weren’t any more exciting on the cable side, as WWE (Syfy) was the best the night could do at 0.8, with SONS OF GUNS (Discovery) behind at 0.6. Both were steady with their prior week numbers.
When no network show cracks a 1.8 rating in 18-49s, it must be Friday.
ABC: That 1.8 belonged to 20/20, up 0.3 from last week (helped by a rerun on CBS in the 10PM hour). SHARK TANK was down 0.2 for the week to 1.6, and LAST MAN STANDING slipped 0.1 to 1.1. (A rerun Last Man at 8:30PM was at 0.8.)
FOX: Back-to-back KITCHEN NIGHTMARES were at 1.0/0.9, down from 1.2 for the 8-10PM premiere last week.
CBS: Only UNFORGETTABLE was new, and it was down 0.1 to 0.9. Reruns rounded out the night at 0.7/0.9.
NBC: After a rerun DATELINE started the night at 1.0, a new Dateline rose to 1.2 at 9PM (up 0.1 from the last fresh episode), and HANNIBAL grew 0.2 to a still-anemic 0.9, just enough to tie CBS’s rerun in the hour.
CW: Both new and rerun episodes of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY were at 0.4, steady with last week. Also holding even: HART OF DIXIE at 0.3.
ABC tonight airs one of the few theatrical movies that still has a home on network TV: 1956’s THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. It faces off with a UFC special on FOX, and assorted reruns elsewhere. The night’s big event, though–even if it’s not reflected in the ratings–is the return of ORPHAN BLACK on BBCAmerica, which its network fervently hopes will mark that show’s passage from a cult smash to a mainstream hit.
