UPDATE: The season finale of LAST MAN STANDING found a 0.1 bump in adjusted Friday ratings (to a very decent 1.4), as did SHARK TANK, HAWAII 5-0 and BLUE BLOODS. But the news was bad at NBC (which had been preempted in Portland for an NBA game), where DATELINE, GRIMM and HANNIBAL all sank by 0.1.
FRIDAY CABLE: It was all sports and reruns on the cable networks, with NBA PLAYOFF games on ESPN in the lead at 1.7/1.1, and WWE (Syfy) next in line at 0.8. The highest-rated cable original was SONS OF GUNS (Discovery) at 0.5.
A mostly dull Friday night for the networks.
ABC: The season finale of LAST MAN STANDING rose 0.2 to 1.3, followed by 1.0 for a rerun. SHARK TANK edged up 0.1 to 1.7,. but 20/20 fell 0.4 to 1.4.
NBC: After DATELINE climbed 0.2 to 1.2, GRIMM was up 0.1 to 1.3. HANNIBAL is currently up 0.1 to 1.0, but since it started at 10:01PM, it may lose that tenth in final numbers on Monday.
CBS: UNFORGETTABLE held at 0.9, and then HAWAII 5-0 was down 0.1 to 1.2 and BLUE BLOODS dropped 0.2 to 1.3.
FOX: Back-to-back KITCHEN NIGHTMARES were at 1.0/1.2, up from last week’s 1.0/0.9.
CW: As usual, fans of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY didn’t care whether the episodes were new or reruns, with the same 0.5 for both, up 0.1 from last week. HART OF DIXIE stayed at 0.3.
FOX has NASCAR tonight, and ABC takes a run of the original DESPICABLE ME in primetime. On Sunday, all the networks are new, and HBO adds the last touch to its Sunday line-up with the premiere of John Oliver’s LAST WEEK TONIGHT, as veterans of The Daily Show continue to take over the comedy universe.
