NETWORK UPDATE: The SHARK TANK season finale rose 0.1 in final numbers. All else remained as reported below.
FRIDAY CABLE: With no NBA Playoffs on tap, it was a quiet night, dominated by comedy reruns. The only sizable numbers were WWE (Syfy) at 0.7 and SONS OF GUNS (Discovery) at 0.6, both steady with their last airings.
The last Friday night of the broadcast season was a quiet one.
ABC: The SHARK TANK season finale, airing out of its regular timeslot, fell 0.3 from last week to 1.6. It was displaced for a 2-hour special 20/20, BARBARA WALTERS: HER STORY, which was also at 1.6 (same as last week’s regular 20/20), although it was the highest-rated show of the night in the older-skewing total viewers metric.
NBC: After 1.3 for DATELINE (up 0.1 from last week), the season finale of GRIMM held even at 1.3 (also the same as last year’s season finale, which aired in late April). HANNIBAL followed at 0.9, up 0.2 from last week. 2 notes: Hannibal started at 10:01PM, so its number may drop when final ratings are released on Monday, and the NBC line-up was preempted by baseball in San Francisco, which could shift all of these numbers a bit.
FOX: After 0.4 for a rerun of Monday’s 24, the season finale of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES was at 0.9, up 0.1.
CW: The season finale of HART OF DIXIE was up 0.1 to 0.4. Earlier, the new episode of WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY rose 0.1 to 0.6, followed by 0.5 for a rerun.
CBS: An all-rerun night was highlighted by 0.8 for the 10PM BLUE BLOODS.
Primetime tonight has the usual rerun/old theatrical debris. The season finale of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is hosted by alumnus Andy Samberg, with musical guest St. Vincent. Sunday will be much busier, with season finales for THE GOOD WIFE, THE AMAZING RACE, THE MENTALIST, and all of FOX’s cartoons, as well as the BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS on ABC and a WOMEN OF SNL special on NBC.
