AMC: THE WALKING DEAD couldn’t hold at last week’s premiere mega-numbers, but it didn’t fall off much, with a still-gigantic 7.1 for the 9PM airing (down from 8.2 last week), plus 1.6 from re-airings. TALKING DEAD was impressively even, holding at 2.6 even though its lead-in was less titanic. The Walking Dead halo effect (if that’s the right phrase) is so strong that the old horror movies AMC showed through the course of the day as its Fearfest had ratings up to 0.8 as well.
HBO: BOARDWALK EMPIRE edged up to 0.8, but EASTBOUND AND DOWN slipped 0.1 to 0.3. The numbers for HELLO LADIES were below the radar.
SHOWTIME: The newly-renewed HOMELAND, divisive Big Reveal and all, was down 0.1 to 0.7. Also renewed is the excellent MASTERS OF SEX, although its numbers for this week haven’t shown up anywhere, which isn’t a great sign.
LIFETIME: WITCHES OF EAST END took a step in the wrong direction, falling 0.2 to 0.6. It was still ahead of lead-in DROP DEAD DIVA, which was off 0.1 to 0.5.

AMC: In the single least-surprising development of the season (perhaps the century), THE WALKING DEAD has just been renewed for a 5th season. Slightly more surprisingly, it appears as though Scott M. Gimple, with survival skills his predecessors lacked, will return as showrunner. On Sunday, Walking Dead was down…

THE SKED SUNDAY CABLE RATINGS SCORECARD – 12/8/13
A&E/LIFETIME/HISTORY: Part 1 of BONNIE & CLYDE performed moderately well, aggregating a 2.8 rating in 18-49s with 1.0 each on A&E and History and 0.8 on Lifetime. It’s a fairly big number when you add it all up, but network-by-network it was below Vikings at History, below Devious Maids…

THE SKED Sunday Cable Scorecard – 11/3/13
AMC: World Series, no World Series, THE WALKING DEAD really doesn’t care. It was again the highest-rated show in all of primetime last week, network or cable, with a giant 6.8 rating–and that doesn’t count the additional 1.2 for the 11PM rerun. TALKING DEAD was the second-highest cable show…
