SHOWBUZZDAILY SUNDAY NETWORK SCORECARD – 8.25.2019

 

The NFL PRESEASON took the night.

DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary live+same day key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).

Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.

ABC:  After a rerun AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS at 0.8, CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD (0.8) and THE $100,000 PYRAMID (0.6) were steady, and TO TELL THE TRUTH gained 0.1 to 0.6.

CBS:  60 MINUTES dropped 0.4 from last week’s football-boosted number to 0.5, BIG BROTHER was down 0.2 to 1.1, and the series finale of INSTINCT was at 0.4 compared to last week’s 0.4/0.3.  The night ended with an NCIS: LA rerun at 0.3.

NBC:  The season’s first NFL PRESEASON SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL game had a preliminary 1.3, up 0.2 from last week’s FOX game.

FOX:  A pair of WHAT JUST HAPPENED episodes were at 0.1/0.2 compared to 0.2 for the show’s last airing on August 4.  The rest of the night was reruns at 0.2-0.3.

CW:  Reruns at 0.1/0.1.

Tonight, the MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS will be simulcast across the Viacom cable galaxy.

COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 live+same day ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.

CABLE RATINGS: Come back this afternoon for detailed demographic ratings for top Friday cable programs. Saturday & Sunday cable ratings will be posted Tuesday morning.
