The Bible isn’t holding up for NBC.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
NBC: It’s fair to say that overlapping viewership with the unusually strong competition on CBS may have hurt this show more than any other, but still–A.D. THE BIBLE CONTINUES looked ugly in its 3rd week, down 0.6 to a 1.1 that was the opposite of miraculous. AMERICAN ODYSSEY fell 0.2 to 0.6. The night started with DATELINE, up 0.2 to 0.8, then a 0.6 rerun of last week’s AD.
CBS: The 50th edition of the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS grew by 0.3 to a dominating 3.6. The evening began with 60 MINUTES, which looked low at 1.2 only because last week’s MASTERS TOURNAMENT overrun pushed it to 1.8.
ABC: ONCE UPON A TIME was steady at 1.6, and then both SECRETS AND LIES and REVENGE were up 0.1, respectively to 1.4 and 1.0. AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS, with the benefit of the NBA PLAYOFFS as lead-in, rose 0.3 to 1.4.
FOX: Another oddly scheduled Sunday, which had reruns interspersed with new episodes of THE SIMPSONS (down 0.1 to 1.4), FAMILY GUY (up 0.2 to 1.7), and THE LAST MAN ON EARTH (up 0.1 to 1.4, although last week it ran back-to-back in the 9PM hour).
All the networks are new tonight, and CBS has the season finale of the already-renewed SCORPION.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
