ABC: SECRETS & LIES rose 0.2 to a new series high 1.7, tying the steady (and in terms of content, unusually grounded) ONCE UPON A TIME. REVENGE stayed at 1.0, and the network’s promos are strongly suggesting that the show’s next 2 episodes will be its last. The night started with AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS, up 0.1 to 1.4.
CBS: After 60 MINUTES fell 0.1 to 1.1, MADAM SECRETARY dropped 0.4 to a new low 1.0, although it has a bit of an excuse because its last new episode aired on the night that the MASTERS TOURNAMENT boosted the network’s ratings. THE GOOD WIFE was also at its series low 1.0, in its case down 0.1 from its last new episode. BATTLE CREEK held at 0.7.
NBC: AD: THE BIBLE CONTINUES fell 0.1 to 1.1 (so much for last week’s theory that it had been temporarily dented by the ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS). AMERICAN ODYSSEY remained woeful at 0.5. The night started with DATELINE, up 0.2 to 1.0.
FOX: BOB’S BURGERS was down 0.1 to 0.9, but both THE SIMPSONS and BROOKLYN NINE-NINE rose 0.1 to 1.5. FAMILY GUY dropped 0.2 to 1.5, and THE LAST MAN ON EARTH was steady at 1.4.
We’re in sweeps, so all the networks are new tonight, and CBS tries out STALKER in the 9PM slot, although since next week’s episode is already preempted (for a David Letterman tribute special), it doesn’t seem like there’s much enthusiasm behind the move.
COMPARISONS TO SIMILAR NIGHTS: Preliminary adult 18-49 ratings versus the same night last year and same night last week.
