Apparently Sunday is a better night for romance.
ABC: THE BACHELORETTE benefited from having its season finale moved from Monday night to Sunday, scoring a 3.0 that was up from last year’s (Monday) finale by 0.3, and probably becoming the first network series in quite a while to beat True Blood. The post-show AFTER THE ROSE was up as well to 3.2.
FOX: THE TEEN CHOICE AWARDS presumably make ratings sense for FOX once the younger demo numbers are figured in; in 18-49s, it did an unimpressive 1.1, even with last year.
CBS: The competition on ABC dented BIG BROTHER down to 1.9, off 0.3 from last week. Nothing else for the night earned more than a 1.0.
NBC: The high point was 1.0 for a 2-hour DATELINE.
Tonight ABC follows the end of Bachelorette by premiering the season’s BACHELOR PAD. FOX has its cooking pair (MASTERCHEF was just renewed for another season), and NBC counts down the days till Olympics coverage begins with a new AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR. On cable, Syfy brings back WAREHOUSE 13 and ALPHAS.
