The box office volume for the top 12 films is now looking like $117 million for the weekend, up 14% from last year’s weekend and up 9% from the weekend’s average for the past four years.
The Hunger Games looks like a 43% decline in its third weekend to $33.5 million, now grossing an estimated $303 million through today (its first 17 days). The 43% decline this weekend is a substantial improvement over the almost 62% decline in the second weekend.

Second week films: Wrath of the Titans ($89 million, adjusted up slightly) and Mirror Mirror ($62 million, adjusted up).
Third week: The Hunger Games ($380 million, adjusted up slightly).
Fourth week: 21 Jump Street ($137 million, adjusted up slightly from the third week in a row).

Opening wide next weekend are The Three Stooges from 20th Century Fox, Cabin in the Woods from Lionsgate and Lockout from FilmDistrict.
