NETWORK UPDATE: CROSSBONES couldn’t hold its preliminary number, and slipped 0.1 to a 1.0 premiere. WHAT WOULD YOU DO went up 0.1 to 1.2, and the SHARK TANK rerun was likewise up to 1.1.
FRIDAY CABLE: There was nothing going on but sports and comedy reruns. ESPN’s NBA PLAYOFFS game dominated at 2.7, with the NHL PLAYOFFS on NBC Sports Network at 0.8 and WWE on Syfy at 0.6.
NBC: CROSSBONES debuted decently for 10PM on a summer Friday with 1.1, 0.3 higher than last week’s Hannibal season finale in that slot. Its lead-in was DATELINE‘s 1.3, which was up 0.1 from last week. (Crossbones started at 10PM, rather than Hannibal‘s 10:01PM start, which should help keep its number stable in final numbers on Monday.)
ABC: 20/20 was the highest-rated show on any network at 1.4, steady with last week. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? dropped 0.2 from last week’s season premiere to 1.1. The night started with 1.0 for a SHARK TANK rerun.
CBS: Reruns, highlighted by 0.8 for BLUE BLOODS.
FOX: Reruns at 0.6/0.4.
CW: Reruns, highlighted by 0.5 for the 8:30PM WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY.
There’s a fair amount of original programming on the networks tonight, if not of a very high order: NBC has a Mariah Carey concert special, ABC features BET ON YOUR BABY and SING YOUR FACE OFF, and FOX airs a baseball game. On Sunday, ABC has a new BACHELORETTE and FOX a new COSMOS. On cable, AMC premieres HALT AND CATCH FIRE, and HBO presents the season finale of SILICON VALLEY.
