>Box office volume this past week is running even with last year.  Updated final weekend box office numbers follow.         


The Past Week: Total Box Office Volume

All films in wide release playing between November 7 and November 13 grossed an okay $160 million, even with the same week in 2010 and down 1% from the average comparable week the past four years.  Year to date, all films are now down 3.9% from the same period last year (down a tick from -4.0% last week).

The weekend Studio Projection (Friday and Saturday actual numbers with estimates for Sunday’s box office) for Immortals nailed the actual weekend number out today, while major studio Sony over-estimated Jack and Jill by one million dollars.
