An even quieter Friday than usual on the networks.
DEMOGRAPHIC DETAIL: For each broadcast program (or hour segment), the chart below displays preliminary key advertiser demographics (adult 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 ratings), audience skews (women 18-49, men 18-49 and adults 50+ shares) and total viewership (thousands of people over the age of 2).
Ratings analysis and comparisons follow the chart.
NBC: CONSTANTINE likely aired its final episode (it was at least the season finale) at a steady 0.8. GRIMM and DATELINE each lost 0.1 to a respective 1.1 and 1.0.
ABC: SHARK TANK was the top-rated show of the night, but it fell 0.2 from last week to 1.8, airing after a rerun of BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN that scored 1.0. 20/20 held at 1.2.
CBS: UNDERCOVER BOSS shed 0.1 to 1.2, HAWAII 5-0 lost 0.2 to 1.1, and BLUE BLOODS was stable at 1.3.
FOX: WORLD’S FUNNIEST FAILS (which just had 8 additional episodes ordered) held at 0.8, and GLEE managed to gain 0.1 to 0.6.
CW: The network’s audience didn’t go for the whimsical indie SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED, which managed just 0.2.
Valentine’s Day isn’t much for staying home and watching TV, so the networks are airing their usual Saturday stew of reruns and old theatricals, the exception being NASCAR coverage on FOX. In late night, NBC is prepping for Sunday’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE 40th Anniversary extravaganza by running the very first SNL, which aired originally in October 1975 and was hosted by George Carlin. Against tomorrow’s SNL epic, CBS airs the season’s (and maybe the series’) final 2 episodes of CSI, and ABC has 3 hours of THE BACHELOR.
