NBC: GRIMM gained 0.2 from its last extremely low airing to reach 1.4, but the number isn’t as good as it looks, since it’s down 0.2 from its 1.6 in the previous week. DRACULA fell 0.2 from its last airing. The night started with 1.5 for DATELINE, up 0.4.
FOX: THE COTTON BOWL has a preliminary 1.9 rating. (Note, we don’t yet have ESPN’s numbers for the competing Orange Bowl.)
CBS: The network aired a night of reruns, highlighted by 1.2 for UNDERCOVER BOSS.
ABC: The only fresh programming of the night was 20/20, which also led its ratings with 1.5.
CW: Facing little competition, THE CARRIE DIARIES gained 0.1 to 0.4.
Nobody really programs Saturdays anyway, but that’s particularly true tonight, since NBC’s coverage of the NFL WILD CARD GAMES would decimate any competition. On Sunday, all the networks are new (FOX will have the benefit of any afternoon Wild Card Game overrun), and NBC airs a LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON clip show as part of the preparation for his move to take over The Tonight Show after the Olympics. The big event of the night, though, occurs on PBS, where DOWNTON ABBEY returns for its 4th season.

Reruns decked the halls on Christmas night. ABC: THE MIDDLE and MODERN FAMILY led the way with1.3s, giving ABC the win. NBC: Nothing in the network’s mix of rerun holiday specials and a repeat of Monday’s HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT scored above 0.7. CBS: Ditto for a pair of procedurals…

THE SKED NETWORK SCORECARD – 12/27/13
RIP, Nikita. CW: Nobody cared very much about NIKITA while it aired, and its series finale, virtually buried on a holiday week Friday (Univision topped all the English-language networks last night), got just as little attention. It held its 0.2 from last week, the same rating as the CARRIE…

At least there was a little variety in which reruns scored best last night. CBS: It was MIKE & MOLLY on top with a 1.5 rerun, and 2 BROKE GIRLS behind it at 1.4, both ahead of the usual leader, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and also MOM, both…
