MONDAY UPDATE: There were several 0.1 adjustments, a couple of which are worth noting. HANNIBAL’s increase was reduced by half when it lost 0.1 from early numbers, and HART OF DIXIE didn’t go up at all when the adjustment was factored in. LAST MAN STANDING, THE NEIGHBORS, DATELINE and 20/20 all bumped up 0.1 , which gave THE NEIGHBORS an fairly significant 0.2 increase from the prior week. The NCAA TOURNAMENT games on CBS adjusted to 2.3/3.6.
FRIDAY CABLE: The NCAA TOURNAMENT was on top in cable, too, although at a lower level: 1.6 for the Michigan State/Virginia game, and 1.0 for Connecticut/Iowa State. WWE (Syfy) followed at 0.8, then ROBOT CHICKEN (Adult Swim) at 0.7, both steady with the previous week. SONS OF GUNS (Discovery) fell 0.2 to 0.6. The newly-renewed HELIX (Syfy) stayed at 0.4.
Maybe Hannibal just has the wrong lead-in.
NBC: The network ran a 2-hour DATELINE in place of Grimm last night (steady at 1.4), and despite stronger than usual competition on CBS, HANNIBAL rose 0.2 from last week to 1.1.
ABC: SHARK TANK was a rerun (1.2), which contributed to a 0.5 loss for 20/20 (1.3). The night began with LAST MAN STANDING holding even at 1.3, and THE NEIGHBORS up 0.1 to 1.0.
CBS: NCAA TOURNAMENT coverage is subject to change when final numbers are in, but for now the Tennessee/Michigan game is at 2.5, and the Kentucky/Louisville game climbed all the way to 3.5.
FOX: A new low 0.4 for RAKE and the same for what was probably the last pre-cancellation ENLISTED, both down 0.1, were followed by an 0.1 rise for the next-to-last RAISING HOPE, bringing it to 0.5.
CW: Both new and rerun WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY episodes were at 0.5 (that’s down 0.1 for the new one), and HART OF DIXIE was up 0.1 to 0.4.
Tonight features the usual Saturday dross of reruns and discards. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is hosted by Louis C.K., with musical guest Sam Smith. Sunday will be dominated by the season finale of THE WALKING DEAD on AMC, which will wallop all the new shows on the broadcast networks. It will be interesting, though, to see how THE GOOD WIFE fares in its first post-OMG episode.
